Definitely love this place. Great variety of bahn Chan. The soon tofu is my always my go to choice, especially during this season.
They have delicious galbi! Must share it with a companion. They also have this amazing brown rice which is actually purple and tastes delicious! Definitely check them out!
    Service is great!

OWNER IS STINGY AND HAS AN UNFRIENDLY ATTITUDE.
It was so bad that after all this time I've been on Yelp, I decided I absolutely I needed to share this-- don't eat here.

This was my first time with my family in Bakersfield, we ordered the bibimbap combo, galbi combo, japchae and a mushroom veggie dish. The waitress was very kind and patient with us as we were ordering our meals however due to the language barrier we were told that with the combos, banchons were also offered as complements and she directed us to the premium banchons (this is already a problem). We placed our orders, got our food. The complimentary soon-tofu soup we had-- seafood soup and the assorted one had shrimps and they were absolutely not fresh at all.

When we got our bill, it was listed that we had to pay for the premium banchons, we were utterly confused and shocked. The boss lady came over and had a defensive attitude that it was what it is and did not give a care about us as customers but that we had to pay her even though her employee made a mistake. She didn't apologize at all and was adamant about it all, she walked away from our table like this was not her problem anymore.

Furthermore, out of all the countless Korean restaurants I have eaten from in CA and NYC, this was the first time I ever had someone telling me that we could only refill our side dishes twice and that if we wanted more side dishes, we would have to pay.  The waitress was telling us that the "chef" or basically the boss lady refused to serve us more giving us that two limit refill excuse. (She said this in a way where obviously it was under someone's order and did not have a say to this.) If it was really a policy, it would've been written or said before we ordered anything.

I do not recommend coming here for decent Korean food and bad customer service FROM THE OWNER.

Really great food. Normally wouldn't go out of my way for tofu anything, but this may be the exception. And such great service we received; lady was so kind.

KPop playing, I ate some of the most delicious bulgogi in my life, as well as spicy pork BBQ. I'm also a hard sell with pork, after chicken, beef, and various seafood. You gotta bring it when it comes to enjoying pork. I took a chance and wow, did it pay off.

    Loved this place.

You know its a solid joint when its run by ajummas (old Korean ladies). I used to live in the very Korean-dense Northern Virginia and have had my share of Korean food... this place is not bad!

If you are trying it for the first time, can't go wrong with the meats; very safe choices and very good intro to Korean food. Favorites include the ribs (galbi) or bulgogi (sliced beef). The marinades are really addicting.
I like to add the egg casserole and an appetizer of Korean pancakes (pa jun) if I'm sharing with a small group. Don't be surprised when they start bringing out smaller dishes (like kimchi) in the beginning too! These are free and add really nice variety to your meal.

If you are feeling adventurous, my personal favorite is their beef-tofu soup (soon du bu), mild spice. After pho, this is probably my favorite thing to eat on a really cold day --- super comforting dish. It comes out in a piping hot stone pot and they crack an egg over the top to cook it while it's still boiling.

Overall a very solid place if you want some good Korean food. They have good deals for lunch and dinner plates --- there's even a meat/tofu soup combo that would get you both of my recs in one meal! Give it a shot!
